Hi, I'm Brenna!
I’ve always been someone who builds things from scratch. As a kid, that meant spreading Legos across the floor and turning random pieces into houses, cars, and whatever characters were living in my imagination that week. Now, it looks like building creative strategies, digital campaigns, and content that helps people feel connected to a brand, a story, or a moment.
At 5+8, I lead content strategy across a wide range of clients, helping turn ideas into social campaigns, photo and video content, and paid media strategy. I like being close to the full process: shaping the idea, thinking through the audience, getting behind the camera, editing the final piece, and sometimes even stepping in front of the camera. The more I’ve grown in my role, the more I’ve become drawn to the strategy side behind the creative, especially the way storytelling, audience behavior, and paid media can work together to drive real results.
Outside of agency life, a lot of my creative world lives in music. I’ve spent the last decade photographing concerts, working with artists like Bleachers, Two Door Cinema Club, and LANY, and currently shooting as part of the photo team for White Oak Music Hall and Do713. I also started HTX VOX, an online publication focused on capturing live music in Houston through the eyes of photographers who care deeply about the energy and emotion that make a show memorable.
Whether I’m building a campaign for a client or documenting a live show from the photo pit, I’m usually chasing the same thing: the moment that makes people feel something. That’s the thread through all of my work: strategy with a creative pulse, storytelling with intention, and a love for making things that people actually want to pay attention to.
